It is 2019. The wizarding world has rebuilt itself, falling back into a sense of comfort and safety. Voldemort and his cause died in the Battle for Hogwarts, and all remaining Death Eaters have been imprisoned in Azkaban. The dementors have been exiled and replaced with the most talented Aurors.

Harry Potter has become quite a celebrity, even more so than he was before. His two best friends, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, have also earnt their own share of fame. Each of them have settled in perfectly, getting married, having children, and doing their bit for the magical population. The same can be said for the rest of the students who attended Hogwarts during Harry's time there.

However, things aren't as peaceful as they seem. Over the past month, people have started to go mising, muggles have been murdered in ways only wizards understand. The vast majority of witches and wizards think nothing of it. The Ministry of Magic may appear to be making all information public, but they've been very successful in keeping the Azkaban breakout of an ex-Death Eater quiet.
